About

Our community group secures and manages funding to benefit all ages across Gallatown, ensuring we continue to offer something for everyone. Our current focus areas include:

  • Tackling Poverty and Isolation: Since lockdown, addressing food poverty has been a primary focus. We also run regular groups (like crafting or woodwork) specifically designed to reduce social isolation.
  • Community Improvement: We champion and fund new initiatives aimed at making Gallatown a better place to live.
  • Play and Family Support: We host family play sessions during school holidays.

We have a strong partnership with Kirkcaldy YMCA, which is key to improving the well-being of both participants and volunteers. Through this collaboration, we provide regular, hands-on activities like crafting, art, woodwork, and gardening. These are offered to adults during school hours and as part of our inclusive family sessions during school breaks.

There is an increased focus on improving Gallatown Park, strengthening our area’s Annual Traditions, and Cycling.
